Customised Software Solutions
Our journey with PRECAST Software Engineering (PSE) began in May 2016 through one of the sister companies of the NEMETSCHEK Group. Tindall has been actively working on improving its design and workflow process for several years. The ultimate goal has been to create more seamless workflows within the engineering department. We were introduced to the PSE team and one thing that became apparent in the earlier days was the expertise that the team had in the precast market in other parts of the world, particularly in Europe and Asia.
Concurrently, we (Tindall) found ourselves at a point in time when we were introducing a new product- line. The application often results in minimum redundancy of mark number identification, thus resulting in large demands on the detailing support staff. We needed a 3D modeling solution that allowed for a more automated approach to the element plan (i.e. shop tickets) detailing process.
Customised software solutions and optimal support
PLANBAR has been able to provide a detailing platform that has the software customization capabilities and the support staff necessary to allow for a customized solution to a specialty product line.
Through discussions and coordination with PSE, Tindall embarked on a training and implementation program using PLANBAR. This implementation of PLANBAR on a specific project is part of a continuing program to explore options for 3D modeling to ensure we keep up with the best technology. PLANBAR has been able to provide a detailing platform that has the software customisation capabilities and the support staff necessary to allow for a “customised solution” to a “specialty product-line”. We continue to learn of its functionality and continue to explore other ways how PLANBAR and Precast Software Engineering can help us further integrate their software solutions into our Product & Process Development initiatives.
